BENTONE DE additive is a highly beneficiated, hyperdispersible powdered hectorite clay. APPLICATIONS: Architectural (Deco) Latex Paints; Inks; Maintenance coatings. KEY PROPERTIES: High concentration pregels simplify paint manufacture; Pourable, easily handled pregels at up to 14 % concentration in water; Low dispersion energy for complete activation; Diminished post thickening; Excellent pigment suspension; Excellent sprayability; Superior syneresis control; Good spatter resistance. Recommendations: BENTONE® DE is a refined natural hectorite clay modified for easy dispersion. It allows for high pregel solids (up to 14 %) with pourable viscosity. BENTONE® DE provides excellent in-can stability and sag control for a wide range of coating formulations.
