Production Operator - Addipel

About the Job
Production operators report to the General Manager of the Elyria facility.  Addipel operates one shift; 7:30 am – 4:00 pm with a 30 min lunch break. This position offers a full benefits package including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401k.


The position of Production Operator includes multiple tasks that follow good manufacturing practices and ensure on time, in-full delivery to the customer while maintaining a clean work environment. The individual must be able to communicate production status and communicate problems to proper personnel. Multitasking is critical in this role.

As a Production Operator, you would be responsible for the following:

  • Following standard operating procedures for all assigned tasks
  • Monitoring machine parameters and resolving processing problems
  • Perform quality control testing, as required
  • Operate equipment safely
  • Operating a forklift safely
  • Generate customer required documents, as needed
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Perform equipment maintenance tasks, where applicable
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, as required
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Interpret job packet instructions in order to setup the correct equipment, dies, and packaging materials.  
  • Identify the correct raw materials from the job packet
  • Monitor and adjust mixer/mill settings to meet quality requirements  
  • Identify the correct packaging from the job packet (boxes, drums, bags)
  • Package and label finished products for shipment
  • Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools, scales, spatula, barrel cart, hand trucks, utility knife, mixer/blender machinery and computer equipment
  • Other duties as assigned.


The work environment characteristics described below are typical of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this manufacturing job. Employees may be exposed to airborne dust.  In these circumstances, a NIOSH respirator is required. All personnel are provided a respirator by Addipel, which are properly fit by a physician.  To be considered for hire, one must be authorized by a physician to carry out all necessary job tasks while wearing a NIOSH respirator.  The noise level in the work environment is moderate.  The plant experiences warm temperatures in summer months and colder temperatures in the winter months. Addipel is an alcohol and drug free work place. Employees must familiarize themselves with Maroon Group Culture and Values, including but not limited to the understanding of the 24 “Fundamentals” that describe the daily practices that make our culture a success.

The Elyria, OH site is an ISO 9001:2008 registered production facility. All employees are accountable to understand designated flow charts for applicable tasks and show the ability to follow these flow charts in real life circumstance. Employees must understand how to navigate the Maroon Group shared drive in-order to locate specific ISO documents.  Employees must show the ability to follow applicable ISO Work Instructions for daily tasks.
